I've never done a sequel before, but I was already having ideas for more like this while I was still painting the first one. Enough people saw that one and said I should do more... so, okay.The original idea was white lines on dark brown skin. However, I am already -1 for cultural appropriation, and I do not feel comfortable using an image of black skin to further my career as a white artist.
These two though - there is no skin color. Though the hair suggests an interracial couple, there is no other sense of identity. The colors of the women's skin and hair are blended together, and the mandala "tattoo" covers them both.
